You’ve heard the single — now the details for Harry Styles’ long-awaited debut solo album are finally here.

After premiering his debut single “Sign of the Times” last Friday on BBC’s Radio 1, Harry Styles has just officially announced the release of his upcoming solo album on his social media.

The record, which appears to be self-titled, simply Harry Styles, (or HARRY.STYLES, we’re sort of unsure about whether Styles’ new 1975-esque typing habits affect the official stylization) will be released on May 12. It will include 10 tracks, as listed below:

“Meet Me In The Hallway”
“Sign of the Times”
“Carolina”
“Two Ghosts”
“Sweet Creature”
“Only Angel”
“Kiwi”
“Ever Since New York”
“Woman”
“From the Dining Table”

Some curious and creative titles in there, for sure. The album’s artwork is also very on-brand for the artisanal wood-nymph aesthetic he’s been cultivating — it’s photos of a delicate-looking Styles, naked in a bath of pink water, with flower petals and fruit peel floating around him or stuck to his hair. None of the shots Styles posted show him facing the camera, making the tone of the photographs even more vulnerable.

A guess could be hazarded that the aim of this photoshoot was to give a sense of looking in at something very private, a visual metaphor for what Styles wants to offer of himself as a solo artist. That, or his new merch range is going to heavily feature bath bombs. In our review of “Sign of the Times,” we called Styles a “paragon of atypical maleness,” and he’s done it again — if there’s an opposite to hyper-masculinity, this album cover is it.

However, Rolling Stone was provided with another image from the photoshoot, of Styles, drenched but fully clothed, floating amidst a rather dirtier pool of refuse, staring down the camera with a look of which seems patiently defiant. Given the tactical moves that Styles has made as a solo entity so far, this duality really contributes to the idea that he’s saying, “Yep, this is who I am, this is what I’ve got, take it or leave it.”

Rolling Stone also revealed the details of Styles’ production team as well as the record’s physical release:

Harry Styles will be released in multiple formats to please multiple types of Styles’ fans. A white vinyl version of the album will be available for purchase through the singer’s website while supplies last, while a limited edition CD comes with a 32-page book of exclusive photos documenting Styles’ recording process. Pre-order for all formats is available starting tomorrow.

Styles will give a live debut to “Sign of the Times” and another of these tunes on this week’s Saturday Night Live, his first performance as a solo artist. Yesterday, SNL released a blooper-filled promo featuring Styles and host Jimmy Fallon to remind audiences that this episode is the first-ever live coast-to-coast broadcast.

Theories so far about any of these song titles, or which one we might see on SNL?
