It’s been a short while since we last shared construction photos from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s rumored Diagon Alley expansion. These latest photos give you an idea of just how large Diagon Alley is going to be.

The following Harry Potter Wizarding World at Universal expansion photos were taken at Universal Studios (the park neighboring Islands of Adventure where Hogsmeade is), where it’s strongly believed Diagon Alley and London-themed lands are being developed. The existing Hogsmeade land will be connected to this new land at Universal Studios by a real Hogwarts Express train. Since these two lands are in entirely different parks, it’s likely a ticket to both parks will be required.

In this first batch of Harry Potter Wizarding World construction photos, taken at night, we see the view of the construction from what will be the London waterfront. Various London buildings are expected to line the water. The archway that you see in a few of the photos is believed to be King’s Cross. Other photos show lots of buildings with pointed roofs, which we see a lot of in the existing Hogsmeade land.

Thanks to Felipe at Orlando United for these photos.

In this second batch of photos, taken Wednesday, we see what progress looks like with the sun out. The panorama photo offers one of the best views yet at the scope of the project. Again, the archway on the left is King’s Cross.

Thanks to Corey for these photos. Click them each for full size.

In recent weeks, we shared photos of the Hogwarts Express train track currently under construction between the two parks.

The Harry Potter Wizarding World expansion at Universal Orlando is expected to open summer 2014.
