Harry Potter: The Exhibition has been all around the world and currently resides in New York City. Their next location, announced yesterday, will take them overseas.

The touring exhibit of Harry Potter film props will next travel to Tokyo, Japan this summer. It will be hosted at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills and open on June 22.

Tickets for the exhibition can be purchased on the official website beginning this Saturday, March 23.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition has already toured through Chicago, New York City, Boston, Seattle, Toronto, Sydney, and Singapore over the past few years. By visiting you get to see lots of real props, costumes, and interact with a few of the elements like Mandrakes. You can even get sorted at the beginning of the tour (this writer was put in Gryffindor). No pictures are allowed on your walk through of the exhibit.

Looking to try something bigger? Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter opened in 2011 at Leavesden Studios and will reside there permanently. It is a much larger version of the exhibition featuring the real sets and even more props from all eight films. Pictures are allowed to your heart’s content.
