In a magical world so rich with history and stories, it’s a shame that we only get to see the world from Harry’s point of view. Though J.K. Rowling’s seven main books being turned into movies had been great, fans can’t help but crave for more.

Recently we were rewarded with the movie adaption of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and other new franchises could be in the works too. Harry Potter: Creature of the Vault, an encyclopedia of the plants and magical creatures in the movie, is available for pre-order on Amazon. The book, Harry Potter: The Book of Magical Places will be released in May 2015. We have amusement parks and we can drink real butterbeer!

Harry Potter fans have truly been pampered. While they’re at it, why don’t they give us a TV series, too? HP fans have an insatiable thirst for more that can never be quenched.

Here are five spinoff TV series ideas for Harry Potter:

1. The Marauders

The Marauders seems to be the first thing that will cross anyone’s mind when it comes to spinoffs. A weekly dose of the foursome’s adventures in the castle sounds pretty exciting. It’ll be interesting to see how the friendship among the four started and the friendship’s story that will eventually lead to James’ demise.

James Potter and Sirius have enough notoriety that it’s easy to believe that their Hogwarts days are filled with daytime or weekend adventures in some obscure parts of the castle — or the Forbidden Forest. Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew may be the quieter in the foursome, but they can deliver just as interesting arcs.

2. The Black Family

The Harry Potter world is filled with interesting families dating back dozens of generations. However, I’m willing to put up a fight just to say that the Black family is the most intriguing of the bunch. Their mudblood-loving bloodline has managed to produce some characters who diverted from the Dark Arts.

Sirius Black comes to mind. Besides being a Gryffindor, he also befriended the Golden Boy James Potter and the werewolf Remus Lupin. Andromeda Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange’s sister can be a great character study. She married a mudblood and cut off herself from the family. We can’t leave out Regulus Black, a Death Eater who realized too late that he’s far too involved in Voldemort’s circle to get out alive.

A closer look into the lives of the members of the Black family — young and old — will take Harry Potter fans into the darker side of the realm.

3. Order of the Phoenix

There’s already a book named after the Order of the Phoenix, but to see the brave members alive and fighting next to each other will be breathtaking — and heartbreaking. We know what will happen to the members. The books have mentioned who will survive the dark ages and who will not. It can be a dark TV series that will be reminiscent of the likes of Penny Dreadful.

It’s a look into the world before Harry, the era leading to the day that will make him the most famous boy in the wizarding world. It will be full of bromance and romance, as we see the characters only mentioned in passing come to life with their own trials and complexities. They aren’t just Harry’s parents or Ron’s parents or Neville’s parents — they’re the brave young souls who fight for a better future without Voldemort’s reign of terror.

4. Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s Daily School Lives

The trio save the world at the end of every school year. Though it’s always fun and exciting, focusing on their daily lives in Hogwarts can be fascinating. Wouldn’t it be nice to see how boring or interesting Harry’s day can be when he’s not out chasing after Voldemort and his minions?

Though it’s impossible to veer away from the main conflict in the book, the episodes can focus on trivial dilemmas such as someone beating Hermione in academics or Harry learning that he has a weakness besides Potion or Ron building his identity outside the shadows of his older brothers.

The series can also shed some light on minor book characters who rarely received movie screentime. Dean and Seamus need more love, and maybe Luna Lovegood can have an episode or two of her own.

5. Aftermath of the Battle of Hogwarts

What is a school of witchcraft and wizardry like after the Battle of Hogwarts? How do the teachers try to rebuild the school and bring back students? Are the Slytherins coming back in a new light? How will the school year wrap up?

There are so many questions left to answer after the final battle, and a spinoff series to answer them all is the best way to go. Instead of focusing on our trio, the new students will pick up the pieces and try to flourish under those who are left. Parents are still scared to send their kids away and these students have lost family members under the hands of You-Know-Who. But these kids have survived the battle, and it’ll be nice to see them continue the legacy of Hogwarts.

The world Rowling built is so filled with magic, love, and history, that you can take any part of this world and turn it into something entirely new and different from the original. Harry Potter is the one franchise whose fandom and hype will never die down. The fans will eat up anything movie and TV producers have to offer.
