Kenneth Branagh is the latest former Harry Potter actor to be asked about J.K. Rowling’s spinoff series Fantastic Beasts.

MTV spoke to the actor while promoting his new action thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and asked what he knows about the forthcoming movie which will be produced by David Heyman.

“If they could use really interesting techniques to make me look a little younger, like, about 100 years younger, that would maybe be a good thing,” he told the site when asked if he would once again don Gilderoy Lockhart’s robes. “It will be fascinating to see how that works out.”

He was also asked if he knew any more about the project but said no. He added that if they need him, “they have my number.”

Harry Potter fans know that the character of Lockhart wouldn’t have a place in Fantastic Beasts. The film will be set in New York in the 1920s, which is before Lockhart’s time.

In September Hypable published a feature looking at which characters could logically appear in the new series based on what we know so far. They include Dumbledore and Ollivander.

This is what we’re doing over the next couple of years, everyone. Former Harry Potter actors will be asked to comment on the upcoming movie, and we’ll be forced to post about it because we’re excited and desperate for any and all news.

Fantastic Beasts does not have a release date, and at last check Rowling was still working on the script.
