How do fans rank the Harry Potter movies? Ahead of IMAX running all eight films in theaters, we want to create the ultimate Harry Potter movie ranking list.

From 2001 to 2011, Harry Potter ran in theaters and moved a generation. Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint starred as Harry, Hermione, and Ron with dozens of legendary actors by their side playing important supporting roles.

Chris Columbus directed the first two movies, and Alfonso Cuaron helmed the third. The latter is credited with quickly maturing the film series. Mike Newell directed the fourth, then David Yates took the reigns for the remainder of the series. Yates is back once again to direct next month’s Fantastic Beasts.

The Wizarding World is about to light up again thanks to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and to celebrate the occasion, IMAX and WB are putting all eight Harry Potter movies back in theaters.

Now is the perfect time to figure out how fans generally regard each of the original movies: Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2. Which of these movies are so damn good that you need to watch again on the big screen? Let’s help you decide!
