‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ Illustrated Edition
This is, without a doubt, the best gift to give the Harry Potter fan in your life this year (if they haven’t already purchased it, that is).
The first of seven Illustrated Edition releases for the Harry Potter series, Jim Kay and J.K. Rowling’s new version of Sorcerer’s Stone is a sight to behold — the gorgeous illustrations are paired with the complete story in an oversized book.
With over 100 illustrations, the Sorcerer’s Stone Illustrated Edition is sure to be a delightful read no matter how many times you’ve already read the first book in Rowling’s series. I plan to read Sorcerer’s Stone again using this new edition, and I can’t wait to discover the different illustrations as I turn each page.

‘Harry Potter Coloring Book‘
What is it about coloring books? Even as you get older, coloring books are still a very attractive purchase.
This year Scholastic debuted an official Harry Potter coloring book, and it offers up loads of iconic emblems and scenes from the series to color in to your heart’s content. This is evidently a hot item this year — it’s currently sold out on Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s websites! You may have to check your local book store for this one.
Funko Pop! Vinyl’s Harry Potter figurines
Funko’s beloved Pop! Vinyl collection finally unveiled Harry Potter figurines earlier this year. From Harry to Hagrid (who’s bigger than the standard Pop! Vinyl) to Hermione to Ron, there’s at least one adorable figurine for everyone. Another round of figurines is expected to debut next year, so this is another one of those gifts that you can get year after year for a fan.
‘Harry Potter: The Character Vault‘
The latest in a growing line of Harry Potter releases from HarperCollins, Harry Potter: The Character Vault is an encyclopedia (but not THE encyclopedia) of sorts detailing the characters in the film series. This is a nice addition to any fan’s collection, especially if they’re big fans of the movie side of the franchise.

‘Career of Evil’ — or any Cormoran Strike book
J.K. Rowling is currently in the middle of writing a large series following two detectives named Cormoran and Robin. Three books are already on store shelves — the latest debuted in October — and they are good. If your friend loves mysteries and loves Rowling, The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm, and Career of Evil are great gift ideas. No, these aren’t like The Casual Vacancy — they’re much better.
