You didn’t forget, did you?

I’ll admit — between all the news coming from the worlds of The Cursed Child, Fantastic Beasts, and Pottermore over the past few months, the release of the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Illustrated Edition has snuck up on me. The second book in the brilliant Illustrated Edition series is set to be released in only a couple of weeks!

A few glimpses of Jim Kay’s work for the Chamber of Secrets Illustrated Edition have been released in anticipation of the book’s October 4 release. Notably, they reveal first looks at characters introduced in J.K. Rowling’s second Harry Potter book: Lockhart, Aragog, and Dobby!

If you can’t wait, now’s a good time to re-read (or buy!) the Sorcerer’s Stone Illustrated Edition, which was released last October. The plan is for a new Illustrated Edition annually, so we should expect Prisoner of Azkaban to be out around this time in 2017.

Grab both of them below. I recommend pre-ordering through Amazon, because last year Barnes & Noble wasn’t discounting Sorcerer’s Stone:

Do you plan on picking up the ‘Chamber of Secrets’ Illustrated Edition?

It’s hard for Harry Potter fans to resist purchasing these new books because they’re a beautiful, fresh look at J.K. Rowling’s series.
