As of yesterday, we’ve now seen all seven new Harry Potter covers.

And now, the back cover reveals begin.

On their official Twitter account this morning, Scholastic released the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone back cover. It depicts Harry standing at the Mirror of Erised where we see his parents. It includes a quote from Albus Dumbledore:

Though illustrator Kazu Kibuishi didn’t want to dive into details when we spoke with him yesterday, judging by this back cover it looks like each will feature a single scene and a quote from the book.

This back cover is refreshing and clean. We hope the others are too. It’ll be interesting to see if a synopsis is placed on the back of the book or if that will only go on the inside to keep the back covers nice and simple.

Scholastic is re-releasing the Harry Potter books in the United States to mark the 15th anniversary of Sorcerer’s Stone’s original publication. These new covers will also appeal to new generations of readers who haven’t discovered the books.

All seven books and the box set will hit store shelves on August 27.

In addition to yesterday’s Deathly Hallows cover reveal at Scholastic’s New York City headquarters, we were also treated to the art for the spines of each book (when put together they create Hogwarts) and the box set art.

We wouldn’t mind seeing these back covers as posters. This one would look great hanging up in our room.
