Scholastic will unveil the new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince cover at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 next week.

The new cover designed by Kazu Kibuishi will be shared at a party Scholastic is holding Thursday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. Pacific. Hypable will be present for the unveiling and will share photos from the event. As far as we know, this event is not open to the public. However, we expect the cover to be on display within the San Diego Convention Center following the party Thursday night.

Scholastic is unveiling new covers for each of the books in the Harry Potter series to revive interest in the series for new generations of readers who haven’t been introduced to J.K. Rowling’s writing. Their August 27 release is timed with the 15th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone being published.

The Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Order of the Phoenix covers have already been unveiled.

UPDATE: The Deathly Hallows cover will debut at a birthday party for Harry that Scholastic is throwing on July 31. Learn more!
