In honor of J.K. Rowling’s birthday, TIME has compiled a series of touching tributes from the stars of Harry Potter.

Today, July 31, is Harry Potter’s 35th birthday. It is also author J.K. Rowling’s 50th.

To celebrate, we’ll be releasing a series of articles throughout the day. But TIME has outdone us all by reaching out to Harry Potter actors for the most beautiful tributes you’ll ever read.

In total, 17 actors from the Harry Potter series wrote birthday messages for Jo.

“So where the h*** do I start?” Natalia Tena (Tonks) opens her letter. “She has made this little planet of ours a better, happier place.”

Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) dedicates his tribute to, “the woman whose imagination has made half the world feel less alone.”

“She’s a remarkable woman,” Matthew Lewis says. “I would like to thank Jo for changing my life.”

Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) suggests that she celebrate her 50th by “writing a hilarious film. Perhaps, starring, I don’t know, a large Scottish man.”

Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), who has a knack for writing beautiful essays, sends Rowling a lengthy account detailing the first time they met.

“It took me several seconds longer than was normal to have the appropriate jumping /squealing/ hyperventilating fangirl fit because it seemed impossible to fathom that everything I loved … had come from the lovely, glowing, blonde woman before me,” she writes, going on to proclaim Rowling a “fierce, bold Gryffindor.”

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) sends Rowling lots of love. With two x’s. We bet she’s blushing again.
