Harry Potter alum Emma Watson and Hamilton the Musical creator Lin-Manuel Miranda sat down and sorted Hamilton characters into Hogwarts Houses.

The chat is part of a larger interview Lin-Manuel conducted to promote Emma Watson’s #HeForShe campaign. A clip from the interview specifically about sorting the Hamilton characters into Hogwarts Houses was released ahead of the full talk.

Perfectly, Emma Watson showed up to the interview with the characters already sorted into Houses. She planned ahead. Just like Hermione would.

Here’s how Emma sorted them:

Eliza: Gryffindor

Angelica: Ravenclaw

“She’s just all brain. She makes that decision about Hamilton [… ] she decides to do the smart thing rather than follow her heart.”

Burr: “Obviously” Slytherin

Though there “was a case” to be made for him to be in Hufflepuff. “He could’ve developed but he didn’t.”

Hamilton: Gryffindor

“He’s all authenticity, all courage.”

As requested by Lin-Manuel:

As if that wasn’t enough, Emma and Lin-Manuel freestyled about gender equality:

Emma Watson, Drop The Beat

And here's a SHORT clip of Emma Watson beatboxing while I freestyle about #HeForShe, if you only have 3 minutes. This was so fun.
