Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast has cast Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette the feather duster.

The character has gone through several different names depending on which Beauty and the Beast you’re watching. She was Babette or simply “The Featherduster” in the original animated Disney film, but has also used the names Marie and Babette in spinoffs and Broadway musicals. Though she’s a feather duster while the curse bears down on the castle, the character is a maid in human form.

In Disney’s 1991 animated film, the feather duster is Lumière’s love interest. The French candlestick is one of the last major roles to be cast — and we’re eager to hear who’ll take the part.

You may recognize Mbatha-Raw from films like Jupiter Ascending (in which she played Famulus) or Beyond the Lights (Noni).

On Friday we learned legendary actor Ian McKellen will be playing the clock Cogsworth. Today he confirmed the news in a tweet.

Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson (Belle), Dan Stevens (The Beast), and Luke Evans (Gaston) hits theaters March 2017.
