“Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Rocket Racoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) and Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) are on a mission to save the universe in Guardians of the Galaxy.”

“The Milano, the Guardians’ muscle car of a spacecraft, flies high over Xandar, the home of the Nova Corps, in Guardians of the Galaxy.”

“Chris Pratt stars as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, a child of the 1980s and main Guardians of the Galaxy hero who was taken from Earth when he was 9 and raised in space.”

A Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was rumored to be released during the Super Bowl, but it came and went with half a dozen other film trailers premiering. While footage from the film was well received at Comic-Con, Guardians is still somewhat of a wildcard for Marvel/Disney.

They’re untested characters and a whole new world that doesn’t have the fanbase that we’ve seen gather for Avengers or Iron Man. Fans are excited for it though, as it’s most likely a nice step away from what Marvel fans have become accustomed to.

The highly-anticipated Marvel film features the intergalactic group of Guardians, led by Star Lord, as they make a desperate stand to save the galaxy. Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Raccoon and is joined by Vin Diesel as the tree-like Groot, with Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista filling out the leading roles. James Gunn directed and wrote the script.
