Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on DVD/Blu-ray December 9, and Marvel has been releasing footage from the Blu-ray’s bonus features. Today’s video asks the question: Is baby Groot still the Groot we know?

With Guardians of the Galaxy hitting store shelves on DVD/Blu-ray on December 9, Marvel released a trailer showing us what we’re in store for last night, including a new look at The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Today they’ve released a behind-the-scenes look at baby Groot, with actor Vin Diesel and director James Gunn talking about Groot via Yahoo! Movies.

Groot was a surprise hit for Marvel, as he was essentially unknown prior to the film’s release, and ended up being the most popular character from their hit film. Baby Groot was even more popular, as his dancing scene at the end of the film was one of the most talked about.

We hope that Groot grows back strong and tall, and we imagine Marvel and director James Gunn wouldn’t dream of changing the beloved character for Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s Blu-ray is Marvel’s most highly anticipated DVD/Blu-ray in quite a few years, as the film is incredibly fun, and should include some great behind-the-scenes looks at what is one of the best casts they’ve put together in years.

We’ll be getting what looks to be a decent amount of footage from Marvel’s highly anticipated film Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is set to hit theaters May 1, 2015. We’ve seen the film’s first trailer, followed up recently by an extended trailer featuring new footage of the film’s villain.

The sequel for Guardians of the Galaxy is currently being penned, and the cast have reportedly been given some hints as to where the intergalactic crew of misfits will be headed next.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s DVD/Blu-ray arrives on December 9, and will be packed with never-before-seen deleted scenes, gag reels, and more exclusive looks at Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
