Groot actor Vin Diesel just saw a major clip from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and he can barely contain his excitement in a Facebook live video.

“I need a minute. I need a minute.” That’s all Diesel can say after watching an extended cut of one of the scenes from Guardians 2 that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con this year. He can barely get words out, so he passes the mic over to James Gunn, who sets the scene.

The two of them are in the editing room for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, along with the editor and a couple other people. Vin Diesel, who voices Groot in the film, is the first cast member to see such a large section of the movie.

And if his reaction is anything to go by, we’re all going to be very, very happy with this movie once it finally comes out.

Not only do Gunn and Diesel praise the movie, but they all but go through each actor and say something wonderful about them, maybe spilling some secrets along the way.

Watch the video in full below:

Everyone ups their game in this movie, but apparently Michael Rooker (Yondu) is a real standout, and the pair say he’s “so fun” this time around. Bautista also gets praise for his acting chops: “We don’t see that kind of comedic genius every day.”

And for the man himself, the star of the show? “I think Chris Pratt was born to play Peter Quill. Plain and simple,” Diesel says.

And don’t think they’ve forgotten the ladies, either. Diesel talks about how his daughter looks up to Zoe Saldana and the strength she possesses, both on-screen as Gamora and off-screen in real life.

As for Karen Gillan as Nebula? “She’s a completely, much deeper character than we got in the first movie,” Gunn explains. They also talk about the sisterhood of the characters, and their bond despite the fact they want to kill each other.

When it comes to the whole team, if the first movie was about becoming a family, then this movie is about being a family — which is much harder than it sounds.

Pom Klementieff is a new addition to the cast, and they have nothing but high regard for the actress, saying she’s, “Crazy, crazy, crazy good,” and that’s she’s emotional, intense, fun, and “like a true alien creature in real life.”

But it all comes down to that final moment at the end of video, where Diesel sums up what he just witnessed: “I’m blown away by what I saw.”

Does this have you even more excited to watch ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’?
