Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has released new images from the sequel’s set showing Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and other stars rehearsing lines for the upcoming Marvel movie.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is one of Marvel’s most anticipated movies (right behind Captain America: Civil War), since fans felt it was nice to see so many new characters introduced to Marvel’s world of superheroes.
As the stars get ready for the start of filming, James Gunn shows the cast with scripts in hand as they rehearse their dialogue for the upcoming production. Take a look at Pratt, Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Gunn’s brother Sean (subbing for Rocket Raccoon) as they prep for filming.

Gunn also released another image with The Walking Dead actor Michael Rooker doing some rehearsals as well, where he can be seen walking out of a picture with Gunn and his brother behind him last week.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will begin filming on February 11. It’ll be interesting to find out more about Star Lord’s family history, as the first film started with his mom passing and him being abducted by a spacecraft. We hope to learn more about his father — remember, Kurt Russell has reportedly been in talks to take on the role.
Russell has been pretty busy lately with The Hateful Eight, and he’s also coming off the massively popular Furious 7, which took in over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office last year.
Chris Pratt will return as Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, along with Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Pom Klementieff.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
