A Grey’s Anatomy wedding is the works for the show’s upcoming ninth season.
“We are going to have a wedding this season,” Creator Shonda Rhimes told TVLine. “But that’s all I’m going to say.”
Considering there are already three married couples among the main characters on the show, who else could be tying the knot? Could it be Bailey and Ben’s turn?
Rhimes did hint at love coming Alex’s way, however.
“I feel like it’s time,” she said to TVLine. “We’re going to watch Alex really grow up and step up this season and find real love with somebody who doesn’t leave him for once.”
Eric Dane (Mark) will be departing the show after a couple episodes, but Arizona’s fate following the season 8 finale plane crash remains to be seen.
Grey’s Anatomy returns to ABC Sept. 27 with “Going Going Gone,” but you can catch up on season 8 and check out several bonus/deleted clips on DVD Sept. 4.
