In Grey’s Anatomy 9×01 “Going Going Gone” we saw Owen take a trip to April’s house to get her to come back to work. Now Sarah Drew is talking about what will happen with her character over the next few episodes.

Hunt travelled to April’s family farm and delivered the bad news that Sloan had died. He explained that he wants a do-over and should have never fired April to begin with. As she stands there holding a pig Owen tells her she doesn’t belong on a farm she belongs at the hospital saving lives. We don’t get to see her answer Owen, but Sarah Drew is already talking about her return to Entertainment Weekly.

So what will happen when April returns to Seattle Grace? For one thing, Drew says “a lot of fun stuff” will happen between April and Jackson. Not much will have changed with April. Drew tells that April is still going to be the same girl that freaks out and has meltdowns but she’ll be able to pick herself back up. And if anyone missed April being religious, don’t worry that hasn’t changed either. Even though she broke her own beliefs by sleeping with Jackson she hasn’t let go of her tight grip on religion. But this will bring up issues between the once besties/lovers. Drew explains, “She’s going to embrace her religion in a way that she hasn’t before and that is going to be hard and confusing for Jackson who does not share the same system of belief.”

How do you think April and Jackson will resolve their issues? Will they be able to repair their friendship?
