When everyone begins to realize they have the perfect life set before their eyes, second thoughts start to creep in. As Meredith watches Derek heads off to D.C. to wrap up a few loose ends and turn in his government phone, it is not soon after that she hears he never makes it off the plane.

Stephanie begins to wonder when and how her specialty will present itself. All she does know is that after a full day of handling a man’s dismembered penis, it is not in urology. Meanwhile, Richard reconnects with Catherine Avery as the two acknowledge that their lives apart are not the lives they want to be leading.
