What exactly was Meredith Grey up to last weekend? Tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy season 11, episode 15 begins to poke holes in her story.

No doctor is off the hook on tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy season 11, episode 12, “The Great Pretender.” With Jackson and April at home recovering from their son’s passing, the hospital’s less grave antics can carry on!

Previously on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Last week’s episode focused largely on April and Jackson’s decision to induce labor and spend a few fleeting hours with their son. April went back and forth with her choice to give up on a miracle, looking for signs from God to send her in the right direction. Jackson and his mother allowed her the space to process and find her own way to accept what was to come.

Meanwhile, around the hospital, Amelia and Stephanie prepped a patient for surgery while also honing their skills on a technique that will later be used on Dr. Herman’s operation. But Stephanie may be taking on a bit more than she can chew when it comes to separating the person from the procedure. Meredith Grey asks around for a babysitter so that she can spend some time with Derek in Washington, DC.

The hospital drama is back as the scope widens to cover all the events that unfolded around April and Jackson’s story. Bailey has some family issues entering the ER, while Richard’s recent reconnection with Catherine Avery may be giving off more sparks than he can put out. But perhaps the biggest bombshell comes when it is revealed that Meredith never quite made it to Washington, DC to see Derek. If she wasn’t at home, where was she?
