Medical terminology is hard. Just ask the cast of Grey’s Anatomy! Ahead of the season 11 DVD release on August 18, Entertainment Tonight released a preview of the blooper reel. After an intense season filled with incredible trauma and loss, it is refreshing to see the cast enjoying some laughs on set.

Some of our favorite highlights include the ambulance refusing to start, Justin Chambers (Alex Karev) attempting to ask Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson) about their relationship, and everyone stumbling through their lines.
Shonda Rhimes has mentioned that season 12 will be a much lighter season compared to the heavy drama of season 11. That is not to say that there won’t be any emotional moments when the series returns.

For example, April’s decision to re-enlist threw her and Jackson’s marriage into a tailspin at the close of last season. When the show returns after a three month time jump, Rhimes commented, “Because this is a lighter season, we found funny ways to tell what’s a very emotional story — more of a charming way to tell an emotional story, but it is still emotional and they are still figuring it out. April is fighting for things to be better.”
