She tells the parents the truth next but they don’t take the news as well. In fact they want to press charges against Bailey for assault.

Despite the fact that the bubble boy is able to get out of his bubble, Owen isn’t able to talk the parents down. They vow she’ll never practice again. Overhearing this – Stephanie steps in and says she was the one who gave the treatment. Surprisingly it works and the parents decide not to press charges on anyone.

When Bailey finds out what Stephanie did she is royally pissed. But Owen tells her to let it go. Stephanie reasons that she needed to do it so that Bailey could continue her work. She also admits that she knows there’s a chance she won’t be back next year. But Bailey promises to fight for her.

Cristina is interviewing for Dr. Russell’s replacement which Meredith thinks is weird. Meredith comes up with a theory that Owen is going to offer the job to Cristina. But as she’s interviewing doctors Owen comes in and interrupts. He asks her exactly what Bailey said to her that morning but she doesn’t remember.

After interviewing everyone, Cristina tells Owen that any of the applicants will work. When she thinks he’s about to offer her the job Owen admits that he did want to. But he doesn’t think that any good would come out of him asking her to stay for the job. However, he can’t help but ask her not to leave him.

Once Arizona finds out she’s outraged and even more upset to find out Shane is helping. She retaliates by scrubbing in on the surgery without asking. But she has to rush out when Shane accidentally ruptures a baby’s intestines that were outside it’s body.

After the surgery, Alex finds Arizona and admits that he’s trying to impress his new bosses. He was worried about losing his job if he didn’t bring in any cases. She tells him to call and ask for help next time.
