Don’t fret TGIT fans, Grey’s Anatomy is the only ABC drama not airing tonight to make room for The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
After an intense dinner party last week, Grey’s Anatomy season 12 is taking a quarter season breather tonight. The next episode, “The Me Nobody Knows,” will pick up next Thursday, November 5 with Penny’s first day as a surgical resident at Grey Sloan Memorial.
Meredith and her friends are at a crossroads. Callie is over the moon about her new girlfriend, but the pain of Derek’s death has barely begun to heal. Bailey has a responsibility to take residents into her hospital and provide them with an education, but can that be accomplished in a hostile environment?

Amelia is strongly on the defensive side of the issue — No Penny, no pain. Meredith, however, has snapped. The peace she found after Derek’s death is ruined and she now has a scapegoat for all of her anger and heartbreak. For the past year, Meredith has been a pillar of strength. She had to be strong for her children, for Amelia, for her friends who all needed time to grieve.
If you need a glimpse at the crazy to come, just take one look at Meredith’s hair! The chief of general surgery has become unhinged.
