Although we don’t know all of the cuts to come it is clear that they more the make the angrier the doctors of Seattle Grace Mercy West become. Some, including Derek, will even experience a deep sense of guilt as it was their lawsuit against the hospital which is making it struggle financially. This has had some fans speculating that perhaps the victims of the plane crash might use some of the money to save their beloved hospital.

Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes weighed in on this with TV Guide explaining that even if they pooled their winnings of $15 million together it wouldn’t be enough to save the hospital. She also added that, “There’s definitely a sense of guilt involved for them in the fact that they have gotten these settlements and now the hospital’s in trouble, but they also feel entirely justified for getting this settlement for what happened to them.”

Some doctors are beginning to worry that they may lose their jobs as the hospital makes cuts. Richard was warned by Alanna that he had logged the least amount of OR hours than any other surgeon. While April is worried that if the ER gets closed there won’t be a place for her. Rhimes warns about Alanna’s motives saying, “I think that people think that she’s just coming in with cost-cutting measures and what they’re going to start to realize is that cost-cutting measures are the least of their problems.”

What cuts do you think will be made in “Hard Bargain”?
