Grey’s Anatomy 12×10, “All I Want is You,” brought back some familiar storylines with Meredith in therapy after her attack, while others have a chance to start over!

After dealing with yet another traumatic event in her life, Meredith is back in mandated therapy. This time around, however, she seems much more prepared to deal with the issues at hand, and seems to think therapy will be a cinch. At first her therapist is concerned at how lightly she’s taking the attack, but when she explains all she’s been through, it makes more sense. As she tells him, “Any day where nobody dies, that’s a good day.”

Grey’s Anatomy seems to address all the rumors floating around that they plan to set up Meredith and Alex by having her laugh at the therapist suggesting just that. When she talks about how he was there for her, and explains that he’s having issues with Jo, the therapist asks if she has feelings for him, but she says he’s just being stupid with Jo. So it looks like fans won’t have to worry about Meredith and Alex getting together after all.

Meredith does go on to talk about how she thinks Maggie needs to come out in public about her relationship with Andrew. No good can come around from sneaking about, as she learned with Derek. She also talks about how she knows Callie and Penny think it’s her fault that their relationship ended, but Meredith doesn’t actually care if they’re together.

What we do end up learning is that Meredith is tired of being alone. While she doesn’t want to be surrounded by her friends all the time, she clearly misses having her own person to be with at night. Her therapist suggests that she’s no longer a widow and is ready to move on with her life. Does that mean that Grey’s Anatomy is preparing fans for Meredith to start dating? I’m totally ready to see a new side to Meredith. It seems like she’s ready for some romance and has just needed the push in the right direction.

Hunt finally also revealed the reason why he’s so mad at Riggs, and a bit surprisingly it was to Amelia. After canceling their dinner plans, he ends up telling her he had a younger sister named Megan who was in love with Riggs. Riggs was there when she died, and he thinks Riggs should have done things differently. Amelia points out that since Megan loved Riggs there must be good in him and so Hunt should give him a second chance.

Later it seems like Hunt has forgiven Riggs when he asked for him to be paged to his OR. They preform a surgery together like they’re an extension of each other’s limbs, barely needing to speak and just knowing what to do. They save the patient and awe everyone watching, but then start fighting once they leave the room. I hope these two do come to some understanding because it was pretty awe-inspiring to see them working together. However, Hunt and Amelia’s storyline is a little weird and they keep dancing around each other. At this point I wish they would just decide to be friends.

At the start of the episode it seemed like Jo couldn’t make up her mind what to do with Alex. She let him move back in but they barely speak. When he tries to make plans with her, she brushes him off and spends the night complaining to her friends. Seeing him working with a patient seems to make her mind for her, and they end up making out in the back of Meredith’s car by the end of the episode. While they haven’t really solved any problems, I’m glad they seem to be heading in the right direction.

One couple we didn’t get any more information on is Jackson and April. We know Jackson served April papers but the subject wasn’t brought up at all. Next week the entire episode will focus on them, so I’m expecting lots of answers!
