Pretty Penny is in for a rough first day on Meredith Grey’s service on tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy season 12, episode 6, “The Me Nobody Knows.”
The dust from the most awkward dinner party in Grey’s Anatomy‘s 12 season history has barely settled when we pick up with the doctors in episode 6, “The Me Nobody Knows.” After Meredith outed Callie’s new girlfriend Penny as the doctor who was on Derek Shepherd’s case the night he died, everyone in attendance had to readjust their feelings on the new girl in the group.
Meredith turned to anger and tequila, Amelia to emotional honesty. Callie tried to remove her feelings about Penny from her feelings about her friend’s death, while Arizona tried to filter her speech with a bottle of white wine running through her system. Tonight we will see what Penny’s first day looks like among a few other interesting cases in the hospital, including a patient whose sex tape makes its way across his congregation.

Last week we asked readers what they thought of Meredith’s decision to give Penny a chance to work at Grey Sloan Memorial. A large majority went against Meredith’s decision to willingly take an emotional grenade into the hospital. However, some people are holding out hope that Meredith’s mood will fade from heated rage to indifference by episode’s end.
Even if Meredith comes around, Amelia is another hostile force for Penny to overcome.
