Two Green Day documentaries are in the works to be released with the band’s upcoming album trilogy, ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tre!.

As Billboard has learned, producers Tim Lynch and Tim Wheeler are creating a documentary about the making of Green Day’s latest albums, as well as a second documentary with footage of the band before the release of Dookie.

“It’s not going to be the sitting down, head shot of me going, ‘We started out blah blah blah’,” Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told Billboard. “We wanted to get into lifestyles of rock ‘n’ roll and playing rock n roll and letting the story kind of tell itself rather than create revisionist (history).”

Warner Bros. Records is hoping to premiere the first documentary at Sundance in 2013.

Oh Love,” the first single from ¡Uno!, will be released July 16 with the album out Sept. 25. ¡Dos! follows on Nov. 13, and  ¡Tre! drops Jan. 15, 2013.
