Marama: Hit. Queen Bey can do no wrong. This provocative, lace dress shows off her figure, and looks flawless against her skin and matched with that hair and makeup. The back is, if you can believe it, even better. I love this, even if she did wear white to those 33 weddings.

Kristina: Hit. Beyonce just looks phenomenal. The lace is so intricate and fits her like a glove – which, incidentally, is the one thing I think she can lose from this look.

Marama: Hit This is perfect. Whether you’re a fan of her music or not, Swift knows how to kill it on the red carpet. This is absolutely flawless.

Kristina: Hit I love it! It was my favorite look of the night. I want to borrow it and wear it everyday, even if I did initially think it was sparkles and not chain-link.

Marama: Miss. First, I have to address the slick backed facelift donut hair. It’s like something out of a tacky beauty pageant. I don’t hate the gown (and the back of it is really gorgeous), but she has ruined it with the styling, and regardless, the colour is not a great choice on her.

Kristina: Miss. Okay, I like this dress when it walked the Valentino runway, there was significantly less tulle and the music notes were more prominent and seemed elegant instead of runaway ballerina. Katy Perry’s hair was also the topic of much criticism, pulled tightly back into a strange bun with mini-buns around it, wasn’t a bit hit.

Marama: Hit. I love this. The hair and makeup is perfect, and although I realise the super shiny gold will not be to everyone’s liking, I think it works for the Grammys. It isn’t perfect, but it is a fun statement and it is also very Rita Ora.

Kristina: Hit. The cool thing about this dress is that while it’s green in the photo, it is also gold or purple depending on the angle see stands at and how the lights hit it. It could’ve been better-fitting, but this isn’t the worst.

Marama: Hit. Let’s be honest, it’s not the strangest thing she has ever worn. And really, at this point hasn’t Madonna earned the right to wear whatever the wants, even if it means she looks like a film noir cowboy detective? She can still work a look like no other, power to her.

Kristina: Miss. The suit part is fine, it’s the hat, cane, and gold grillz (which she proudly showed off to Ryan Seacrest) that just ruins everything about her outfit for me.

Marama: Hit. This has to be a hit, because there’s nothing objectively wrong with this pretty Dolce & Gabbana number. But while she looks pretty, this is also pretty plain. The Grammy Awards would have been a perfect time to be more adventurous, not to mention, choose a different hair style (for once).

Kristina: Hit. It is a good outfit for what it is and right now, it seems like Ariana Grande can do no wrong, but I wonder how much better this would have looked in a solid color. This is good though, the dress is full but doesn’t consume her.

Marama: Hit. I’ll be honest, I mainly included Osbourne because I am having a complete love affair with her hair. The dress is also gorgeous in a very gothic way, and offsets her statement hair and makeup. She looks fabulous and very Grammy Awards-appropriate.

Kristina: Miss. This would have been a hit only if there was less fabric. She looks incredible, but the full-length dress in addition to the long sleeves and what looks like a cape negates the amazing shoulder cuffs, in addition to completely washing out what little skin she’s showing.

Marama: Hit. This won’t be to everyone’s taste, but Kendrick has the figure to pull it off – so why not? Despite the tantalising show of leg and the cut outs in the top, she still looks classy, but also slightly edgier than her usual red carpet style.

Kristina: Hit. I love the top, it’s just the thigh-high cut that has me scratching my head. This is reminiscent of Wolf of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie at the Golden Globes and if you recall, I wasn’t crazy about that either. But her hair looks amazing.

Marama: Hit. Just like Madonna, I won’t begrudge Cyndi Lauper anything. McQueen is a perfect choice for her. If she looks a little like some variety of fabulous bird, I don’t care. She is so rock and roll it hurts, she is having fun, and she is rocking the best bling of the night.

Kristina: Hit. This is a better execution of Kelly Osbourne dress. It’s less overwhelmingly black and I love that gold bib. Plus, anyone who can rock that red-red hair has a vote from me.

Marama: Hit. Callat goes more understated than some of the other stars, but I enjoy this clever Ezra Couture number. The detailing is gorgeous and the colour looks great on her; my only issue is with the too-slick hair.

Kristina: Hit. Marama, you say “understated” I say “I love this outfit and think it’s perfect.” I’d also say I wish all celebs dressed like this, but then the homogeneity would make these articles less fun. I love this look, I’m always crazy about a red dress like this.
