We’ve been looking forward to Netflix’s new original series Grace & Frankie starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, but today’s trailer has raised our expectations further.

The first Grace & Frankie trailer, released Thursday morning, sets up the series’s plot: Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) learn that their husbands — played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston — are gay, and they’re leaving their wives to marry each other.

The news naturally shocks Grace and Frankie, and leave the life-long friends grappling over how to cope with these revelations late in life.

Seeing West Wing and Newsroom alums Martin Sheen and Sam Waterson play husbands who realize they’re in love with each other is icing on the cake — We’re very excited to see Fonda and Tomlin reunite for a new series in which they play best friends.

Created by Friends and Home Improvement co-creators Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris, “the hilarious and heartbreaking comedy takes on aging with gusto – from joint pain to joint rolling and blind dates to night blindness – and offers a poignant look at how life’s turning points show us who we really are,” according to Netflix.

Will you be binging ‘Grace & Frankie’?

Grace & Frankie premieres Friday, May 8 on Netflix.

It’s a great day for the streaming service — earlier today they dropped the first trailer for Orange is the New Black season 3. While Netflix doesn’t share viewership numbers, OITNB and House of Cards are believed to be their most popular series.

Shows like Grace & Frankie and Netflix’s other new series like Daredevil and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt have a great shot at becoming huge hits.
