Gotham season 1, episode 8, “The Mask,” will introduce another comic book villain. Get a preview with the stills and synopsis.

This week Gotham will borrow another familiar baddie from Batman. Todd Stashwick is credited as playing Richard Sionis in “The Mask.” Most likely, he’s based on Roman Sionis from the comics who goes by Black Mask.

Sionis was born into wealth but his parents were abusive. The first crime surrounding him was his parents’ mysterious death in a fire. After which, Sionis inherited their company and wealth. When that didn’t work out, Sionis turned to a life of crime. Eventually challenging Falcone for control of the city.

Meanwhile, Bruce will run into trouble at school. It will end with his first act of violence when he seeks revenge on a classmate.

The synopsis for Gotham season 1, episode 8, “The Mask,” is:

“When a Gothamite is found beaten to death, Gordon and Bullock are intrigued by the motive and take on the case. Meanwhile, Bruce returns to school and has trouble making friends in the all-new “The Mask” episode of ‘Gotham’ airing Monday, Nov. 10 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”
