Detective Gordon is going to have a whole new set of problems when someone starts targeting street kids and the Penguin returns. Gotham season 1, episode 2, “Selina Kyle,” airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

On the last episode of Gotham fans were introduced to Selina Kyle who was pick pocketing to survive. And help her feline friends, of course.

Detective Gordon was teamed up with Harvey Bullock to work the Wayne case. But when their leads ran dry Bullock turned to gang leader Fish Mooney for help.

Mooney tipped them off about Mario Pepper who was trying to sell a necklace matching the description of the one Martha Wayne was wearing the night of her murder. After a chase and shooting, Bullock killed Pepper. A search of his apartment led to the discovery of the necklace.

But one of Mooney’s employee’s, Oswald, snitched to Bullock’s rivals that Pepper was innocent. When Gordon caught wind of it he went back to Pepper’s apartment and found that his clothes didn’t match the description Bruce Wayne gave.

But Gordon’s snooping around only told Mooney that he knew the truth. The only thing that saved him and Bullock from being killed by her men was the mob boss Carmine Falcone. Falcone explained to Gordon that he was friends with his father.

To prove his loyalty to the mob, Gordon was supposed to kill Oswald. But he couldn’t go through with it and instead faked the murder. Gordon warned Oswald never to return to Gotham.
