Are you ready for a teamup movie featuring some of DC’s most infamous female villains? Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie is set to make Gotham City Sirens.

David Ayer and Robbie previously worked together on Suicide Squad, where he directed her as Harley Quinn in what many believe to be one of DC’s better films in the shared universe so far.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn alongside several other well-known villainous vixens.

Sirens is a DC comic book series that focused on Harley, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy, with appearances from some other baddies, too.

Both Catwoman and Ivy have appeared on Fox’s Gotham television show most recently, though Catwoman also appeared in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, as played by Anne Hathaway. Back in September she said it “would be fun” to take on the role again.

However, given that Ben Affleck has replaced Christian Bale as Batman, it stands to reason they’ll be finding another person to take on the role of Catwoman as well.

The last time we saw Poison Ivy on the big screen, she was portrayed by Uma Thurman in 1997’s Batman & Robin, so seeing her come to life again more than 20 years later opposite Harley, Selina, and the others will be quite a treat.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be writing the script for the film, having also worked on the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. It’s nice to see a female writer on board for a movie like this.

Ayer will direct and produce, and Robbie will also executive produce. The actress has been lining up her projects left and right lately, so it’s nice to see she’s also made room for Gotham City Sirens.

THR also reports that Warner Bros. is still looking into a Deadshot spinoff starring Will Smith, as well as a Suicide Squad sequel. Plus we know Robbie wants a Harley and Joker spinoff.

As of right now, there’s no release date in mind for ‘Gotham City Sirens’
