As voted on by readers, Goodreads has announced the Best Books of 2013, the “only major book awards decided by readers.”

Acquired by Amazon earlier this year, Goodreads selected winners by genre, and several books we’re fans of took top honors.

Rainbow Rowell’s Eleanor & Park was named the best Young Adult Fiction novel of the year. Rowell also published a personal favorite at Hypable titled Fangirl in 2013.

Rick Riordan’s The House of Hades within the Percy Jackson realm took the top spot in the Middle Grade & Children’s category. In Young Adult Fantasy, Veronica Roth’s third and final Divergent tome Allegiant was named number one. In poetry, legendary author J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fall of Arthur won.

Elsewhere on the list, Beautiful Creatures was named best in the Graphic Novels & Comic category while Hyperbole and a Half took first place in Humor.

Hypable will be looking for your favorite book votes tomorrow.

For now, check out all of the winners over at Goodreads. A list of nominees and how many votes each received can be seen here. How many have you read?
