The newest Godzilla trailer has just been released online, and it features star Bryan Cranston delivering an impressive speech.

With its May 16 release date quickly approaching, promotion for Godzilla is finally starting to hit full swing. Last week we got a gorgeous new poster, yesterday we got to hear the iconic monster’s new roar, and today a new trailer has been released.

The trailer was just released on the official Godzilla YouTube page:

“Look, you are not fooling anybody when you say that what happened 15 years ago was a natural disaster, alright?” Bryan Cranston’s character Joe Brody furiously says. “It was not an earthquake. It wasn’t a typhoon. Okay? You’re lying! Because what’s really happening is you’re hiding something out there. I’m right, aren’t I? I deserve answers! You see? There it is again. This is what caused everything in the first place. Don’t you see that? And it is going to send us back to the stone age. You have no idea what’s coming.”

If that trailer didn’t make it any more clear, Godzilla is the danger.

The trailer does reinforce something we’ve known for a while: this won’t be any old Godzilla movie. Luckily, Cranston is playing one of the lead roles, and he always elevates the source material. Fans of Breaking Bad know that as great as the writing on that show was, it would never have been the show it was without Bryan Cranston. This trailer shows that Cranston is pulling out another great performance.

Godzilla also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for his titular Kick-Ass role, and Elizabeth Olsen. The duo will appear together on screen for the first time in this movie before playing the sibling duo of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: The Age of Ultron.
