The marketing around Godzilla has been shy to reveal its titular monster, but a new teaser has just given us our first great look.

A new teaser has just been released on the official Godzilla YouTube account. This teaser deals with courage, something that is necessary when going up against a monster like Godzilla. Check it out:

“I know many of you still have family and loved ones in the city,” David Strathairn’s Admiral Stenz says. “Their courage will never be more needed than it is today.”

It is to Godzilla‘s credit that this is the best look we’re getting at the monster at this point in the film’s promotion. Unlike the trend that has been surrounding the releases of many big blockbuster movies lately, we know hardly anything about the movie, and that is a very good thing. It’s rare in this day to walk into a theater knowing very little more than a basic premise, but it’s appearing that Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures will allow that rarity.

In the latest Godzilla trailer, Bryan Cranston gave an epic speech as to what the basic premise would be in the upcoming addition to the popular franchise. Cranston’s character warned that something was out there waiting for us.

Beyond that, a lot of what will be in the film is being hidden. The plot could go in so many directions and it looks like we’ll be seeing plenty of the effects that having a monster (monsters?) to deal with could bring, and after seeing director Gareth Edwards’ debut film Monsters, that should not come a surprise. It certainly looks like Edwards has created a smart blockbuster with something to say about humanity.

Alongside Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson will appear with Elizabeth Olsen. They play husband and wife in the film, and that’s particularly interesting given their next on screen relationship will be as brother and sister duo Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: The Age of Ultron. Their chemistry in the film will be something to pay attention to.

Godzilla will also star Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, Ken Watanabe, and David Strathairn.

‘Godzilla’ hits theaters on May 16
