Glenn Close will soon be gearing up to star opposite Mahershala Ali, Awkwafina, and Naomie Harris, over on Apple TV+.

According to Deadline, Academy Award nominee Glenn Close has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Apple Original film, Swan Song.

Plot details for the forthcoming film are few and far between, but according to Apple Studios, Swan Song is “a genre-bending drama set in the near future that explores how far someone will go, and how much they’ll sacrifice to make a happier life for the people they love.”

While plot details are scarce for the time being, we do have a bit of information with regards to the roles the actors who’ve already signed on for the project will be playing.

For her part, Glenn Close will portray the head scientist at a facility. She joins fellow recently announced cast member Awkwafina, who will be taking on the role of Kate, a close confidant of main character Milo, who is set to be played by Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali. Finally, Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris will play Poppy, Milo’s wife and true soulmate.

Behind the camera, the film boasts a screenplay by Oscar winner Benjamin Cleary, who is also serving as director on the project.

Apple has yet to announce an official release date for Swan Song, but it won’t be long before movie lovers can see Close back in action.

Coming up next, the actress is set to star opposite fellow Oscar nominee Amy Adams in director Ron Howard’s Hillbilly Elegy. The forthcoming drama is set to hit Netflix and debut in theaters on November 24.
