Glee is on a brief hiatus from our televisions, but they are full-steam ahead on set filming new episodes. Today, Ryan Murphy tweeted a photo alluding to potential music we’ll be hearing on Glee! (Song spoilers ahead!)

Earlier today, Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy tweeted the following photo of Becca Tobin, who plays Kitty, in a replica of Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell’s famous Union Jack dress along with the caption “Spice up ur life”:

Putting two and two together, it seems that Glee will finally be jumping in the catalog of the biggest girl group of all time: the Spice Girls! Though Ryan tweeted the lyrics to the song “Spice Up Your Life” along with the picture, this Glee blog is reporting that the song that is actually going to be performed on the show will be “Wannabe.” It is also assumed that this song will be featured on episode 17.

The same Glee blog also is reporting that Glee will be doing the Tegan and Sara song “Closer.”

Geri Halliwell made the Union Jack dress a pop culture icon of the ’90s when she wore the dress during the iconic performance of “Wannabe” and “Who Do You Think You Are” at the 1997 Brit Awards. You can check out that performance below:
