Like us, Glee season 5 star Chris Colfer is a big fan of Downton Abbey and Harry Potter. He’s such a big fan that he visited the sets of both British productions and shared the photos on Instagram.

“Breathe,” he wrote with the photo of him standing in front of the Downton Abbey set. Colfer is posing outside of Downton Abbey’s iconic Highclere Castle. The legendary monument is not only used for exterior shoots, but the cast films a few scenes inside too.

Colfer isn’t the only celebrity to visit the set of Downton Abbey to express their inner fan. Hollywood’s resident geek J.J. Abrams went inside Highclere Castle earlier this year while visiting England to promote Star Trek Into Darkness. He took a great photo with Mrs. Hughes (Phyllis Logan) in the kitchen where he was helping Downton’s staff get some cooking done.

The Glee actor also visited the Harry Potter Studio Tour and took a photo at Privet Drive (Harry Potter’s home when he wasn’t at Hogwarts):

Downton Abbey series 4 is currently wrapping filming. We learned this morning that Paul Giamatti has joined the cast as someone familiar to Cora. The actor will appear in the series 4 finale and cause trouble.

Colfer visited the set of Downton Abbey while on a tour to promote his books Struck by Lightning and The Land of Stories.

The actor/singer/director/writer has a bunch of free time because Glee season 5 will not begin filming until later this year. Towards the end of Glee season 4, we had learned that the show was renewed for not just one but two seasons. Glee season 5 will premiere later this year.
