Glee season 5 returns this Thursday, November 8 with a new episode, and an inside look unveils fun new footage from the storyline.
In Glee season 5, episode 4 “A Katy or a Gaga,” Mr. Schuester pits McKinley’s Lady Gaga fans against the Katy Perry fans. The two groups then sing songs from the artist who they don’t like (for example, the Gagas sing “Wide Awake” by Perry).
This sneak peek offers a look at a couple of scenes as well as interviews with Chris Colfer and Adam Lambert. The latter has a guest starring role on this episode during which he auditions for Kurt’s new group in New York.
Says Chris Colfer, “Kurt has decided to start a band and he’s holding auditions at Nyada and only one person comes to audition: Adam Lambert. How lucky is he? Kurt gets very intimidated because Adam’s character sings like Adam Lambert.”
Added Lambert, who is a fan of Glee and thought it was surreal to come onto the set, “‘Marry The Night’ is a great song. I’m a huge Gaga fan, and I’m also a huge Katy fan. So I love this episode.”
Gaga and Perry are both in the midst of promoting their new albums titled ARTPOP and PRISM, respectively. The latter album is already on store shelves, while ARTPOP drops on Tuesday, November 12.
Episode 4 will be a welcome return for Glee season 5. The show’s last episode was the Cory Monteith tribute nearly a month ago. After shooting the episode, the cast and show runners decided to take a break to regroup.
