Glee this week takes us for a look behind-the-scenes of the episode “Lights Out.” Come take a peek at what happens to McKinley High School when the power goes out.

In last week’s episode of Glee, the kids find themselves in a unique situation when a power outage at the school forces glee students to take on an “unplugged” assignment for class. As darkness covers the classrooms, the members of the club have to tap into their ability to perform without electronic tools to fill in the gaps. A lot more than vocal ability is revealed.

In the video below we see Jane Lynch give us the synopsis of the episode and share in the excitement of her upcoming Broadway debut – while Becca Tobin takes some time to discuss her character’s growing feelings towards Ryder:

Behind The Scenes: “Lights Out”

Of course Sue is insisting that she doesn’t miss her Cheerios one bit, but this is clearly a, “the lady doth protest too much” situation. The cheerleading coach can pretend all she wants that she’s happier being away from the school even though we all know there’s nothing that could be further from the truth.

Although it is kind of sad that Sue has been ripped away from torturing her beloved students, we here at Hypable couldn’t be happier for Jane Lynch and the exciting career opportunity that lies before her. As previously reported, Lynch has been cast as Miss Hannigan from Annie. The outstanding casting decision will lead to many great things and the stage is lucky to have her.
