Good news for Gleeks: Fox has renewed its smash hit musical series Glee for not one, but two more years!

EW has learned that Fox has finally finalized the deal with the creators of Glee to bring the show back for two more years, extending its run through 2015 (at least).

Fox entertainment president Kevin O’Reilly offered the following statement about the renewal:

Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture.

Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show – and I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons.

Yes, this means that Murphy and his team will indeed be back next year, despite recent speculation that they might not return after season 4.
