Did you all tune in for the season 3 premiere of Glee last night?

Apparently about a third of last year’s audience didn’t.

TV By the Numbers reports that last night’s episode had a much smaller audience than the season 2 premiere:

Glee premiered down 32% from last season’s premiere to a 3.8 adults 18-49 ratings. But Fox isn’t crying yet because New Girl debuted to a 4.7 adults 18-49 rating and eclipsed last season’s 9p premiere of Raising Hope when Glee was stronger.

Any idea why the audience was smaller?
