So remember that TV Academy event on Tuesday night? We’ve collected some video of the cast talking to various media and you might be surprised by what they’ve let out of the bag! Did Jane Lynch just confirm one of the major characters not returning next season? Check out this round-up of some very interesting tidbits from Jane Lynch, Lea Michele and Darren Criss!

In case you needed reminding, a couple of months ago Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele started talking about season 4 and the “revolutionary change” that would be coming. At the Golden Globes this year, Chris Colfer also chimed in. That left some of us on Glee Chat coming up with absurd theories involving time-travel, alternate time lines, and parallel universes. My apologies though, as some of us haven’t quite gotten over the ending of Lost. I even wrote this column highlighting all of the information we had up until that point, with Hypable Glee fans weighing in, and very intelligently I might add!

So at Tuesday night’s TV Academy press event, Lea Michele, Jane Lynch and Darren Criss had some interesting – and at times contradictory – things to say about season 4.

First, let’s look at Lea Michele’s red carpet interview with E! Online. Pay very close attention to every word because she is putting some of our crazy theories about what is going to happen with characters to rest:

Did you catch that? At this point in Glee we have no idea what any of the cast will be doing next season, but Lea specifically says:

“We know it’s not the end. But I’m also super excited about college and about what’s next.”

Oh. So, we’re definitely heading to college? That’s definitely what season 4 will be focusing on regarding Rachel Berry!? Yes, we could presume that’s where Rachel Berry was heading but nothing had been confirmed!

Next, Jane Lynch also let something out of the bag. And this one is major. When Access Hollywood asked her about some of the cast leaving this season she comments that she had just filmed her last scene with Dianna Agron. But it certainly doesn’t sound like a last scene of the season, she talks very emotionally about Dianna Agron and her character:

Jane said specifically:

I just did my last scene with Dianna Agron. I loved working with her. We had a very special relationship on the show. It was bittersweet to have those last moments.

Am I digging here or did you guys pick up on a this-is-the-end vibe from Jane regarding Dianna?

Finally, Darren Criss talked more about the changes happening on the show and how it will lead into season 4. However, Darren hints that people aren’t actually leaving…?

“My kind of thing is it’s not really a goodbye. I mean, it depends on how you look at it… any new chapter in anyone’s life, whether it be a graduation or a, I don’t know, a marriage or anything, is just another step. So it’s more of a departure point. People aren’t leaving.”

Wait, what? People aren’t leaving? That’s contrary to what everyone from the show has been saying all year long!

What are your thoughts about what these three had to say? Are you hearing things the same way I am? I totally admit to potentially misunderstanding, but it also seems that these quotes are pretty clear and to-the-point. Let me know what your thoughts are in the comments below!
