Though Glee’s upcoming Valentine’s Day episode “Heart” is locked and delivered to Fox as of yesterday (Friday), the producers are considering going back in to pay tribute to the late legend Whitney Houston, as her mega hit “I Will Always Love You” is being featured.

Amber Riley who plays Mercedes Jones is ironically set to perform arguably Whitney Houston’s biggest hit “I Will Always Love You” on Tuesday’s Valentine’s episode. Listen to the Glee version of the song below:

However, THR is reporting that Glee may be adding to the episode even though the episode is set to air in only a few days.

A spokesman for 20th Television, the studio behind Glee, told The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday that the Valentine’s Day-themed episode, titled “Heart,” had been finished and delivered to the network on Friday, with Gleeproducers currently considering going back into the episode to pay tribute to Houston, who died Saturday.

There’s no saying exactly what kind of tribute Glee producers would be considering, but we would expect some sort of “thank you” in the form of text near the beginning or ending of the episode.

What are your thoughts on Glee potentially editing the episode with a tribute?
