Fox has announced a big shift in their weekly line up: Glee season 5 is moving from Thursdays at 9 p.m. to Tuesdays at 8 p.m. beginning in late February.

In fact, the whole Tuesday night line up is changing. Beginning February 4, Brooklyn Nine-Nine will move to 9:30 p.m while New Girl remains at 9 p.m.

Come February 25, Glee will begin airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. followed by New Girl and Brooklyn.

The move may not surprise viewers who’ve noticed that the musical dramedy’s ratings have been falling over the past couple of years. Last Thursday the show tied its all-time low with 4 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in the adult demo. The only other time they had that small of an audience was Thanksgiving-eve in 2012.

Glee had moved to Thursdays at 9 p.m. last year, but that change has seemingly not worked out. By moving to Tuesdays at 8 p.m., Glee will be back in its original time slot.

Fox also announced today that The Mindy Project and Dads will take breaks from late January/early February until the start of April.

Meanwhile, Glee season 5, episode 6 “Movin’ Out” airs tonight at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific.
