We reported the other day that Sons of Anarchy’s Katey Sagal would be playing Artie’s mom in an upcoming episode of Glee. Now, a picture has been released showing the two of them on set!
Talk about a quick turnaround. Earlier today Katey Sagal tweeted out a picture of her posing with Kevin McHale and Becca Tobin (Kitty) in their typical Artie and Cheerio outfits, respectively:

It looks like Katey jumped right to the set after Ryan Murphy made the announcement just a few days ago. We also wonder what Kitty could have to do with the scene. The last we saw, Artie was a bit speechless when Kitty performed her Spice Girls routine in the choir room! Could a romance be brewing?
The Glee fandom is overjoyed to see Katey Sagal play Artie’s mom as she has long been a fan favorite and popular choice to play the role. This will be the first real foray in to the life of Artie in four seasons of Glee after many of the original characters from season 1 had their families intertwined with storylines over the years.
