Glee is always good for a hilarious spoof and they’re wasting no time with their new full-time NYC cast as they are now recreating the opening sequence to the hit comedy show Friends!

Executive Producer, Brad Falchuk, tweeted a photo of the new and improved New York City cast clearly recreating the now iconic opening credits scene from the hit ’90s show Friends.

Pictured in the photo, posted by Falchuk, from left to right are Artie, Blaine, Rachel, Sam, Kurt, Santana and Tina.

For those who may not remember the classic NBC show, Friends (what!?), here’s the opening sequence to serve as a reminder of what may be to come with the photo posted by Falchuk:

There’s no definitive context about how or why this scene is going to be used. It was recently announced that the remainder of Glee season 5, would take place exclusively with the cast in New York City. Details are still somewhat mum about which characters in Lima will join the NYC cast for the remainder of the season.

Glee returns from its very extended winter hiatus on February 25th on its new date and time of Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

What are your thoughts about the Friends recreation and the New York City plot for Glee season 5?
