Glee’s “Lights Out” episode revealed what seems to be the first changes to Finn Hudson’s storyline on the show after it was revealed that Cory Monteith would be checking in to rehab and would not finish filming season 4.
You may remember last episode when Finn returned to the stage and pleaded for Will to treat him as an equal. They were going to go to go full steam ahead, practice their butts off, and win Regionals. Will agreed, but if you saw tonight’s episode “Lights Out,” you may have noticed Finn was nowhere to be seen.
Most Glee fans were aware of this, but there’s even more evidence that the show is being edited around Cory Monteith’s absence.
Earlier this week, we posted this gallery of episodic stills that featured one photo of Finn standing next to Will on the stage at McKinley. Check out the picture and the caption below:

Finn was definitely not in this scene or in any other part of the episode for that to happen.

Though it could have simply been a mistake in labeling, it seems that a lot of the original episode was cut out of what made it to our TV screens for the “Lights Out” episode. It’s also very rare that photos released by Fox are not only mislabeled but remain available for extended periods of time (these photos have not been changed or edited as of this posting).
It may also be worth noting: didn’t “At The Ballet” seem just a bit longer than most of the musical performances that happen on the show? Was this to make up for lost time in the other storylines that may have potentially been cut from the episode?
