It was recently announced that our favorite cheerleading coach from Glee has signed on to the film A.C.O.D. (Adult Children of Divorce).  This indie comedy will also star Richard Jenkins (Eat, Pray, LoveSix Feet Under) and Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation).

A.C.O.D. was written by Ben Karlin (co-creator of The Colbert Report, producer of 50/50 and The Daily Show) and Stuart  Zicherman.  The upcoming film will be produced by Karlin and Teddy Schwartzman and directed by Zicherman.  Black Bear Pictures will be funding the film, and filming will begin in March.

Deadline reports:

Lynch will play ‘Dr. Judith,’ a down on her luck author and therapist who jumps at the chance to regain the spotlight when her former patient Carter (Scott) shows up seeking her advice. “We’re really excited to have Jane Lynch join the cast of A.C.O.D.,” said Schwarzman. “We look forward to watching her bring the exceptional character of ‘Dr. Judith’ to life.” Lynch will next be seen on the big screen in the Pete and Bobby Farrelly-directed The Three Stooges, which opens April 13. She is represented by Domain.

What do you think about Lynch’s role in the forthcoming comedy?
